Vision and values

St. Josephs Catholic Primary School believes very strongly in the “Every Child Matters” initiative.

Its main aims are for every child, whatever their background or circumstances, to have the support they need to:

  • Be healthy
  • Stay safe
  • Enjoy and achieve
  • Make a positive contribution
  • Achieve economic well-being

As a Catholic School under the diocese of Northampton we have the school motto of “Learning to do our best with Jesus” and teach those Catholic values.

Our School Mission Statement is:

St. Joseph’s Aspires to:

  • Develop children with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs; within the traditions of the Catholic Church
  • Combine excellence in teaching and enjoyment in learning, through a broad and balanced curriculum that promotes the total development of each child: spiritual, intellectual, moral, social, emotional and physical
  • Provide a safe, calm and supportive environment based on trust and mutual respect, within a caring community that values the individual and welcomes everyone
  • Encourage children to fulfil their potential with confidence by setting high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
