Mouse Wizards
MouseWizards and Mini MouseWizards lunch clubs starts again on Tuesday 10th January. This term’s activities for Years 1 & 2 follow an ‘Olympic’ theme. Take part in our lunch club and make yourself an olympic winner using photo tricks, create olympic stickers, design an olympic game and much more! Please return your sign up forms to the office as soon as possible. Spaces for children in reception are limited so will be given to the first children to register their interest.
We also outsource the Breakfast, After School and Holiday clubs to Busy Living.
BUSY LIVING AFTER SCHOOL TEAM (BLAST) BREAKFAST, AFTER SCHOOL AND HOLIDAY ACTIVITY CLUB AT ST JOSEPH’S SCHOOL
Busy Living Ltd runs Ofsted registered, flexible Out of School Clubs at the School which provide fun, safe and secure care for children aged 4 to 11. All club bookings should be made in advance to ensure availability, although we are flexible and happy to take ad hoc bookings. Once you are registered, we will keep your details on file should you need us urgently or haven’t been able to pre-book and then we are only a phone call away.
Breakfast Club
Opening at 7.45am, including healthy cereal, toast and drinks plus games and craft for the children before lessons begin. Younger children Reception to Year 2 are escorted to their classrooms.
After School Club
Each day will run from 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. We provide a planned choice of activities for the children, including craft, board games, outdoor play and physical team games. We always take the opportunity to have fun by celebrating lots of different days ie Barbie’s birthday, Mardis Gras week, International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day, Doll Festival in Japan, Dr Seuss Birthday plus of course many other traditional celebrations. We offer a light bite at 4.30pm of beans on toast, wraps, pasta and fruit. Water is always available.
Holiday Club
Open from 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday every school holiday apart from Christmas and the last two weeks of the Summer holiday. Holiday clubs are a great opportunity to make new friends, more time for projects, building dens, learning a new skill etc. The holiday clubs are open to children from other schools and we try and arrange outside providers to run a skill session in sport, dancing, cooking etc. We offer a varying daily programme of indoor activities and outdoor, supervised sports and games which we encourage children to participate in for their health and fitness. For example: team games, dance/drama workshops, mini beast hunt, jewellery making. We provide age-related activities for all children and will operate an inclusive practice for children of all abilities. Parents need to provide a packed lunch and snacks and then at 4.30pm we provide a light bite of beans on toast, wraps, pasta and fruit. Water is always available.
