Saturday Morning Football

St. Joseph’s Saturday Football Club

St. Joseph’s Saturday Football Club was established in the early 1980s for the children from St. Joseph’s and the local community. The club continues to develop and go from strength to strength and this season we have over 140 children registered from Reception through to Year 6. The Year 6 team plays in the Chiltern Church Junior League.

We subscribe to The Football Association’s child protection and best practice guidelines and our aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment for the children to enjoy and play football whilst developing their techniques and skills. The club has the FA Charter Standard and is affiliated with the Berks and Bucks County FA.

The Football Club is run by volunteers and helpers and each year has a minimum of one coach with at least an FA Level 1 qualification. All coaches and assistants have current CRB clearance and hold a valid First Aid certificate. There are several coaches who have attained FA level 2 badges and some have age-specific coaching training.

We are very proud of our club and of our achievements to date so if you or your child would like to come along and get involved, we meet every Saturday morning from 9.30am to 11.00am (10:30am for Reception) during term time and we look forward to welcoming you as everyone (girls as well as boys) is welcome.

We are always on the lookout for new assistants, helpers, coaches or committee members, so if you are interested or have any suggestions, ideas or questions please feel free to contact us via our website http://www.sjsfc.co.uk/
